
Joan Miravite, DNP, RN, FNP-BC
Joan Miravite, DNP, RN, FNP-BC is a practicing Family Nurse Practitioner with over 20 years of clinical experience working in Neurology. Joan received her Bachelor and Master of Science in Nursing from Columbia University, School of Nursing. She completed her Doctorate in Nursing Practice at New York University, Rory Meyers School of Nursing. Dr. Miravite has been appointed Assistant Professor of Neurology at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and serves as Director of Interdisciplinary Clinical Care in Movement Disorders at Mount Sinai Beth Israel in New York City, where she has helped build a strong DBS program. She is also an Adjunct Professor at NYU Rory Meyers College of Nursing and Clinical Instructor at Columbia University School of Nursing. Dr. Miravite was awarded the 2021 AANP Nurse Practitioner State Award for Excellence from New York. She was chosen for the 2019-2020 Columbia University School of Nursing, Adult Gerontology Primary Care DNP Preceptor of the Year Award.
